locations, travel & behaviour

Location has a significant role in capturing personalized photographs, yet curating a beautiful moment is down to strategy. Whether at home, a quiet corner of the yard, a woodland or country house -capturing your portraits in a place that holds meaning to you, is significant.

Both you & your horse will be as comfortable as possible, working with their strengths to set them up for success despite any behavioural quirks. Posing is very horse led, they do not need to stand still if they are not happy to do so.

Remaining flexible in the approach results in sessions, on occasion, spontaneously taking place on route, often with treats or continually moving. On requirement Emily will utilise her editing expertise to transplant a 'stray ear' or plan a realistic safe space & exit strategy for spooky horses, without blocking them in or losing their attention.

unfavourable weather & illness

If there is severe weather that means the shoot cannot take place then you will be contacted to rebook. Light rainfall often adds atmosphere to your images. Emily endeavors to be flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances to ensure the best possible outcome for your photos.

Please where possible advise ahead of time if you are unwell but happy to continue with the session.

Emily will not cancel unless requested or for serious illness (e.g; covid positive or hospital admittance) or an immediate emergency such as unanticipated child healthcare, vehicle failure or bereavement. And in such cases, will advise a suitable resolution as soon as possible.

If the shoot is canceled for any reason by yourself the payment is non-refundable but is transferable once in cases of illness, extreme weather, or other emergencies. Please see Investment.
